International conference entitled “Foreign sources about Armenian colonies”

On November 8, 2022, the 3rd international conference entitled “Foreign sources about Armenian colonies” was held in the conference hall of the NAS RA Institute of History, which was dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the foundation of the “Karen Jeppe” National Seminary in Aleppo.

  

Before the start of the conference, the presentation of the collection of materials “Foreign sources about Armenian colonies” (Fascicle II) took place.

Welcome and opening speeches were delivered by the Head of the Department of History of Armenian Colonies and Diaspora of the NAS RA Institute of History, Dr. of Sci., Professor Gevorg Stepanyan, Academician Secretary of the Department of Armenian Studies and Social Sciences of the NAS RA, Academician of the NAS RA Yuri Suvaryan, Director of the NAS RA Institute of History, Academician Ashot Melkonyan, and Senior Researcher of the Department of History of Armenian Colonies and Diaspora, Cd. of Sci. Artsvi Bakhchinyan.

The two sessions of the conference were conducted by Senior Researcher of the Department of History of Armenian Colonies and Diaspora of the Institute of History NAS RA, Cd. of Sci. Artsvi Bakhchinyan and Leading Researcher, Cd. of Sci. Knarik Avagyan.

At the end, a summary of the conference results was held.
