On 11 March 2026, Hakob Muradyan, the Scientific Secretary of the NAS RA Institute of History, participated in the international scientific-practical conference held in Stavropol, Russian Federation. Organised by the North-Caucasus Federal University and dedicated to the 105th anniversary of the birth of Academician Yuri Alexander Polyakov, the conference was titled “Socio-economic and Demographic Processes in Russia and Foreign States during the 18th–20th Centuries”. During the proceedings, Mr Muradyan presented a paper in Russian entitled “The Demographic Policy of the Russian Empire regarding the Pashalik of Kars during the Russo-Turkish Wars of 1806–1812 and 1828–1829”.
