In 22-23 October 2016 an international conference dedicated to the 25th anniversary of Artsakh independence was held in Artsakh State University. M. Minasyan the Rector of university delivered opening speech. Welcoming speeches were made by Chairman of the NKR National Assembly Ashot Ghulyan, Minister of Education, Science and Sport Slava Asryan.

In an effort to strengthening the cultural relations between Armenia and Iraq, a delegation of Iraqi historians, visited Yervan from 17th to 21st October 2016. The members of the delegation were Messrs. Jawad Al-Badheni and Mansoor Husayn Hadi, both hold PhD. in history.

The International Academic Conference on “The Armenian Diaspora and Armenian-Russian Relations: Past and Present” took place in Moscow, 14-16 September 2016.

The Division of Armenian Studies and Social Sciences of the NAS RA and Yerevan State University are organizing an international scientific conference on «The Armenian Genocide and the Question of Reparation» on 22-23 November 2016 in Yerevan.
